How we handle your data

Simple Self-Employed is designed to give you tax visibility without collecting data for advertising or selling it.

What we keep

We keep the normalised financial and tax records needed for the features you use. CSV imports retain useful transaction and provenance fields, not every unused column from the source file. Payslip PDFs are not retained after extraction.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal or financial information, use it for advertising profiles, train AI models with it, or use an analytics SDK in the beta.

Your controls

You can clear defined groups of working records in My account. That is not account deletion and it deliberately retains the items listed beside each control. Request access, correction, portability where applicable, restriction, objection or coordinated account closure at privacy@simpleselfemployed.co.uk.

Exports

PDF, CSV and spreadsheet exports are designed for accountant conversations. They are not described as a complete copy of all personal information held about you.
